MEET THE STAFF
Gallery SupervisorLauren Donahue has been with Studio West since it opened in 2011. During her college years she studied business management but always had a passion for art. Her role allows her the opportunity to oversee exhibits, meet with artists and vendors, plan events, and participate in many community based art festivals. One of the things Lauren enjoys most about her job is that she gets to work with a number of very talented artists and collaborate with them to create unique and fun shows and class offerings at Studio West. Lauren resides in Livingston County and can often be found attending local functions that support the community. In her free time she enjoys cooking, gardening, crafting, traveling, and spending time with her family.
Gallery ConsultantNorma Inloes has been with Studio West for over five years. Passionate about art from a very young age, Norma graduated with a BFA from Eastern Michigan University. An accomplished artist with experience in art instruction and gallery displays as well as years of involvement with groups that bring art into peoples’ lives, Norma is the ideal person for this position. She plans and oversees all exhibits, meets with local artists, selects and installs pieces for display and works closely with the Gallery Supervisor to ensure that Studio West is attractive and inviting to the public. Norma is also a founding member of the Brighton Art Guild and serves as a liaison between its members and Studio West. A resident of Livingston County, Norma enjoys spending time with her grandchildren.
Art CoordinatorMichelle Acevedo works directly with WSC participants, encouraging them as they create incredible art pieces in a variety of mediums. An artist herself, Michelle’s gentle nurturing demeanor makes it easy for the artisans to discover hidden talents and experience the joy of creativity. She plans projects, coordinates supplies, oversees Artisan Corner volunteers and is passionate about helping participants build their confidence. Michelle has always admired and been inspired by all kinds of artists and just about every type of art. What she enjoys most about her job is the opportunity to work closely with such amazing people, creating authentic pieces of art that showcase each artist’s individual talents and tastes. She has coined the phrase, “busy being brilliant!” to describe Artisan Corner. Michelle resides in Livingston County where she enjoys spending time with family, gardening (sometimes successfully), and creating art of her own. In her spare time, she likes to read and crochet.
