Michelle has always admired and been inspired by all kinds of artists and just about every type of art. She loves to work with acrylic and mixed media on canvas that can be digitized and used for jewelry -making and graphics for fun printed art projects.
Participants in the WSC Art Program are individuals with disabilities and other barriers. As the Art Coordinator, Michelle plans projects for them in various mediums and encourages them as they create incredible works of art; their pieces are displayed publicly at Studio West. A variety of their artwork is available for purchase at the gallery, providing income directly to the artists.
“What I enjoy most about my job is that I get to work closely with such amazing people, creating authentic pieces of art that showcase each artists’ individual talents and tastes,” Michelle said recently.
Michelle resides in Livingston County where she enjoys spending time with family, gardening (sometimes successfully), and creating art of her own. In her spare time, she likes to read and crochet.
